The Gratitude Project - Day 2

The thing I am most thankful for, right behind Almighty God, is the fact that I have married such a wonderful man! Brient and I will be married 13 years this December. Sometimes it seems like an eternity, and sometimes only a moment. Truthfully, I lose track of time, and each year I have to ask him how long we've been married! That's a good thing, though, because it means we're having so much fun together, I just don't think about the time.

We have had some great times together, with some amazing laughs and memories, and we have had some not so great, "wish we could forget that" times. But we've done all of it together.

Brient is a great husband and a wonderful daddy, and he is always working hard to see that we have the things we need. I'm thankful that he is not a lazy man, but is always looking for the next thing that needs to be done to make life better. He loves our four children, and takes time to play with them and just be with them.

My honey is always encouraging me to do more and be more, because, when I succeed, he succeeds. He pushes me when I want to quit.

I love spending time with Brient, because we have so much fun together. I love how we are able to laugh and joke with each other. Being with him lifts my spirits. When he is gone too much, with work or whatever, I am not the same. He completes me.

"Brient, thank you for being who you are. Thank you for loving me, even when I am a grump. Thank you for never giving up on me, even when I was worth giving up on. I can't imagine where I would be without you. I love you more today than I thought was possible! I can't wait to see where the next 50 years take us."
